Cabin on Blueberry Hill
Built in the early 1900’s as a double log crib-barn, this cabin is one of the oldest structures on the Farm.
With two bedrooms, it is very popular with bridal parties, grooms parties, and parent of the bride or groom.
While today it is a beautiful rustic cabin, it has been a number of things since the early 1900s.
Throughout the years it has been used to house our cows, sheep, horses, and one try at raising chickens. The chickens were penned in the area that is now the bath. What is now the snack kitchen was once used as a smoke-house.
In those days, there were no wooden floors in these sections or in the dog-run down the middle of the crib-barn. When we noticed that some of the logs were rotting and needed to be replaced, we found a man that knew how to jack up a log structure… and the renovation began. The Cabin on Blueberry Hill was born in 2003.
